Tawlink
Tawlink is a proposed modern, light railway between Barnstaple and Braunton. Firethought delivered an initial corporate identity and 3D Visualisations of the proposed Tawlink station on Barnstaple's Strand. The project involved the recreation and visualisation of what Barnstaple's Strand would look like with the addition of a tramway as well as how people would interact with the environment with the new system in place. The implemented ideas include as well as the tram and station a cycle hire system with link link path to the popular Tarka Trail route to Bideford and Ilfracombe / Braunton. The project involved the creation of many subdivision surface objects as well, as use of "cel shading" to give the Strand a distinct architectural visualisations expected from officals in a open presentation to North Devon Council as well as Devon County Council. Firethought's Tawlink vision alligns with that of the commisioning body CombeRail CIC and their ambition to help improve the state of public transport across the Taw.
